Sprintcar front axle question
What length tie rod do I need to use with a 52" front axle? I don't mean what the assembled measurement should be, just need to know which tie rod to use.

Re: Sprintcar front axle question
speaking of front ends i have a question
what advantage is there running a 52 or 53" front axle over a 50 in a wingless? i have been told i should put a 53" in, but no one can tell me why. Thanks |

thanks for that
if I go from a 50 to a 53, would i have to go up in bar size as it changes the wheel motion ratio? or is it to small a change to worry about thanks again for the reply. |

Re: Sprintcar front axle question
What torsion bar you run will depend on wheel offset also. It isn't a one size fits all issue. Depends on the track, conditions, etc.
I would scale it set up as you have in the past, then change front axles and put it back on the scales and see where it is. Then run it. But rule of thumb is that the farther out that RF is, the less weight it will have on it. |
