Re: Congrats to Greg Staab......
Congratulations Greg!! He was one of the first local guys back in the late 70's and early 80's that I know that strapped a wing on his old Trostle car, loaded it up and left town to do battle with the likes of the WOO and ASCoC's. Greg wanted to race against the best even though he was out-gunned, for the most part. Excellent driver, who won a lot of races over the years against some very tough competition.......

Congratulations to Greg! A great racer and an even better man. A true "tell it how it is" person.

Re: Congrats to Greg Staab......
Worked with Greg for a few years at USAC and I am sorry to say I underestimated the true honesty of the man. It was after he was let go from USAC that I found out that it was the two above him that were the ones that could not be trusted.
Greg was "The Man" at L'burg in his day. Enjoy your success and continue on with pride!!:32: |

Re: Congrats to Greg Staab......
Congrats *DOG*!
Maybe on of the few who's done it all. Midgets, springs, LM's Wing/NW, Dirt/Pavement, Owner, Promotor, Comp Director and Mentor! I seen Greg win a lot of Races, My Pops took me down to his garage a couple times before I was old enough to drive and he and the team made me feel welcome and Greg still does so today. However there is one race in particular other than the Only race I attended at IRP and he won. It was at Bloomington and Im guessing '86 and it was a sprint and Late Model 40 lap each special. For some reason Greg strarted 18th and by lap thirty was trying to get around Hood, Bob and randy Kinser who were in fact running three wide ON BLOOMINGTON. Staab was nerfing them but had no way through. He finished fourth but there was no doubt who was fastest that night. Again, Well deserved :8::8::8: |
