Here is the 2013 Tentative Schedule for Gas City.

April 19 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars

April 26 USAC National Non-Wing Sprints, USAC Ignite Midgets, Thunder Cars ($300 to win, $40 to start)

MAY 3 TRACK CLOSED

May 10 “KISS” – King of Indiana Sprint Series Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds ($700 to win $75 to start, Thunder Cars ($300 to win, $40 to start)

May 17 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars (HARF and DARF Night – members receive 50% off grandstand admission)

Mary 24 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars, VCTS Racing (fwd)

May 31 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars

June 7 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars, USAC Ignite Midgets

June 12 - WED USAC National Midgets, Regular Non-Wing Sprints (no sprint qualifying) ($1400 to win - $180 to start), Thunder Cars ($300 to win, $40 to start)

JUNE 14 TRACK CLOSED

June 21 “Boom Town 1892” Night – Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars, VCTS Racing (fwd) HARF and DARF Night – members receive 50% off grandstand admission

June 28 Non-Wing Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Thunder Cars, USAC Ignite Midgets, 600cc Mini-Sprint

Does this mean there will be sprint car qualifying at a normal weekly event?

Answer to test and tune - no, there will not be test and tune again this year.

Answer to qualifying sprints - the midgets qualify that night but the "regular" non-wing sprints will not qualify at any time this season.

this may sound crazy but I would love to see a late model race at Gas City!

Yes that is crazy but they did have one of the smaller LM series, forget the name, 4 or 5 years ago on the night of one of Bloomington's specials. They just take those nights off now but back them they ran other series on the nights with no sprint cars.

I believe that was the Sunoco American Late Model Series (Sunoco ALMS).
Their 2013 schedule is awesome. Instead of one series they now have an EAST Region & WEST Region with some races overlapping < same track.

Yea it was the sunoco alms latemodel series..dont quote me on this but their purse is pretty steep and they only have about 3-5 cars that follow that series all year..and the last year they ran there i think there was 12 cars..thats pretty bad..there just isnt any latemodels around here..
