Who does the hans recert, refurbish, and update to sliding tethers the cheapest? Anyone have good experience with any particular company?

Don't hold me to it but I think the guy at the Hans booth at IMIS said its like $12 to have it recertified and you can send it back to them. Now that Simpson carries Hans they could probably help you too. As for the tethers idk but I'm sure they could fix you up with that as well. I bought mine a couple years ago and purchased it thru OG Racing. If your Hans is already drilled for the sliding tether guides you could probably do it yourself. I got the Quick Clip sliding tethers. It's not a necessity in a sprint car cause you can get out with your helmet on, but if you drove a mod or LM and have to remove your helmet or pull the Hans loose to exit its nice when you're in a hurry or for emergency workers. It does require you to install the clips on your helmet though.

I race minisprints so its not really a problem but i love my quick click set up i just need the upgrade to sliding tethers. I talked to the hans guy at IMIS and I think he just blew some smoke our way.

To install the sliding tether, it's a matter of loosening, and removing, the 4 screws in the back that currently hold your fixed tethers. The kit includes 4 new screws and the slide brackets that the strap slides thru. Piece of cake. If you can align a chain on your mini sprint, you can do this.
Ken at KJR in Brownsburg usually carries them in stock, as does Simpson Indy.
