Well it looks like the Central NY Raceway Park will be opening in 2014, just up the road from brewerton NY. The facility will house a 2.5 mile road course a 1/2 mile synthetic dirt oval and a speedway track in the middle of the 1/2 mile. Land is being cleared and all is on schedule. You can check it out on you tube, I'd post it here but my computer skills are limited.

http://centralnewyorkracewaypark.com/ Track owners should look at this video on SYNDI. That stuff looks pretty neat they even had an open wheel modified trying to tear it up.

I thought you was telling one of them big Yankee tall tails, but I guess they do make synthetic dirt, (what will they think of next)? Sure hope they keep it away from Bloomington, but we do have several tracks down here that stuff would really help on.

Back in the late 60's we had a harness track here in Louisville that they raced Flat trackers and midgets on. It had a Limestone surface on it and It held up real well and made very little dust. They spit up a little rooster tail about 4 foot high and it just fell back down on the track.

Stay away from that speedway track, "You ride with the best you limp like the rest'.

JMO if sythetic dirt does for dirt track racing what synthetic turf did for football and baseball we're screwed :7:

Check out the video they put it down with the water truck, wonder how it would do on a day race. Kinda of look like what comes out of a Honey Wagonj truck.
