Prayers needed for an amazing racing family
 

Josh Owens, a race fan from here in Bloomington passed away today, after a long hard fought battle with cancer. You could always see him and his wife Danika sitting to the left of the concession stands in lawn chairs next to the walkway up to the restrooms. I cant begin to tell you how much of a loss this will be to the local tracks as far as losing a race fan. He was at the track EVERY weekend, no matter how bad he felt, he was always there.

Jon Stanbrough was by his side most of the day yesterday, Josh was a big Stanbrough fan, and for Jon to take the time out of his day to come visit Josh, that had to have meant a lot to his family. Josh had his life long dream of driving a sprint car come true this year, as Josh Burton let him behind the wheel of his #04 sprinter one night. From what the pictures showed, you couldnt knock the smile off of his face.

So in closing, my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Owens/Krebbs family.

May you rest in peace Mr. Owens.

Josh and Danika and their entire family are great people. RIP Josh...you will be missed by soo many. God bless the entire Owens family in this very difficult time.

And thumbs up to Jon Stanbrough...I remember josh saying how much he really liked Stanbrough as a driver. He is a very talented driver, but also a good person. Class act.
