Re: larson
He pulled off some moves only a dirt tracker could do and not wreck.
Did you hear Johnny Sauter's whinning about racing dirt? Pavement guys are scared. Not about getting hurt but embarrassing themselves. |
Re: larson
Over the years we've heard some of the same stuff (whining) about racing on the dirt tracks from the developmental drivers and teams that were running for points in ARCA and had to run Springfield and Du Quoin.
A few, like Bob Keselowski and Parker Kligerman, who had never seen a dirt track prior to running The Miles did remarkably well. Still others like Davey Allison, Allen Kulwicki, Jeremy Mayfield and several more that escape me didn't seem comfortable at all. Unfortunately, it appears Kyle Larson will easily skip the ARCA rung on the ladder to the big time but we would have loved seeing him run the dirt in a Cup style stocker. Lord knows he was a joy to watch driving a Silver Crown car on The Dirt Miles. Go get 'em Kyle, and in the words of Muhammad Ali "rumble young man rumble"!! |
Re: larson
First time at track, in a racing vehicle he has only three starts in. Leads 43 laps and finishes in second, WOW. Going places fast. Hope EGR has enough talent there to keep up with him.
