Indy Car 2013 Schedule. "Triple Crown" is Back....
 
For those that like Indy Car racing.
Here is the 2013 Indy Car Schedule. It was announce on "Wind Tunnel" tonight with Bob Varsha & Robin Miller.

ALSO THE "TRIPLE CROWN" IS BACK WITH THREE 500-MILE RACES ON BIG TRACKS.

2013 IZOD INDY CAR SCHEDULE
March 24 - St. Petersburg, Street Circuit, (NBS Sports Network)
April 7 - Birmingham, Ala., Road Race, (NBCSN)
April 21 - Long Beach, Street Circuit, (NBCSN)
May 5 - Sao Paulo, Brazil, Street Circuit, (NBCSN)
May 18-19 - Indianapolis Qualifying, (NBCSN)
*May 26 - Indianapolis 500, Oval, (ABC)
June 1 - Detroit, Street Circuit, (ABC)
June 2 - Detriot, Street Circuit, (ABC)
June 8 - Fort Worth, Texas, Oval (ABC)
June 15 - Milwaukee, Oval (NBCSN)
June 23 - Newton, Iowa, Oval (ABC)
*July 7 - Pocono, Pa., Oval (ABC)
July 13 - Toronto, Street Circuit, (NBCSN)

Street races with 2 race that weekend. One race will be a standing start and the other race will be a rolling start.

Too bad there aren't many ovals. I just can't get into road course racing. If I wanted to watch road courses, I would watch F1

As others, I would like to see more ovals, but I think this is a pretty good schedule. 6 ovals this year (or 5 and a triangle). With the changes they made in 2012, road racing is now worth watching. Not sure I am crazy about the double header at Belle isle, but I do like the schedule. The triple crown money is huge, i just wish the Oval Championship would pay a million. That would shake things up. I am also happy they will race into October. Season ended to early this year. Now its time for the Indy car big shots to get out there and sell the great racing they had this year!

We'll see about that. They may be trying to shoot themselves in the foot again.

I was also hoping Indy Cars were going to return to Phoenix, maybe in 2014.

That would be great, but I don't see it happening. That track along with Chicago, Kansas, Michigan are owned by ISC. (NASCAR) They have no desire to put a better product on the track than their cash cow.

I agree, all the street courses, sucks big time! Please bring more ovals back to the schedule and let the street races go! No more than 4 road/street courses a season!

As if the crashes between the green flag & the exit of first corner in F1 haven't shown the obsurdity of standing starts!

As do I,Patti. But,I'm afraid that as long as the current ownership of PIR (NASCAR :7:) stays,that it will never happen.
