Focus engine install?
I recently acquired another chassis and thought of putting a focus motor in it for fun. How hard is it to find the oil pans, bell housing, and driveline parts to do this? I was told they are getting hard to find. Can any stock stuff be used? Thanks

I'm not worried about staying within the focus series rules. This is just a car I was going to do r&d stuff with on dirt and pavement from time to time like in tune and test stuff.

Re: Focus engine install?
It is my understanding that the parts are hard to come by, due to the fact Ford stop making them. Call Roush/Yates and see what they have.

I even thought of just bolting the block to the plate w/o the clutch and bell housing and going direct drive. Could just throw a bike motor in it sideways so I can fit a bigger driver in the car centered. So many options...... Lol Thanks

Can the block just be bolted up direct to the plate and eliminate all the clutch stuff and just go direct drive to the in / out box? Is it the same crank bolt pattern as the common coupler? Thanks

good info. i'm looking at doing the bike carb conversion and found a malory ignition system so this car is going together as basic as i can get. no computer stuff and no efi to have to control. i have a hilborn setup for my suzuki i might just end up on it too once i figure out how to properly tune the injection.:6:
