I can remember last century, when I was a kid (growing up in East Central Illinois) going to some great daytime and early evening racing all the way into late October. Sure do miss that.

Why did USAC at Terre Haute book against LPS (MSCS) on Sept 1?
I thought they all got along?:47:
Bloomington is closed on Friday 8/31, why not run it then?:16
I hate seeing the power struggle between Powri & Usac also. :20:
Its most unfortunate for Midget racing and all concerned. :13:
If everybody would just coordinate, then the car & crowd numbers will be there. I know............ easier said than done. :(

THAT has a USAC event scheduled on 1 September. LPS has a local event "King of Non-Winged Sprints" on the same date; not an MSCS event. LPS does have an MSCS event scheduled on 18 August. Paragon has a couple of Sunday events scheduled in August and some Sunday TBAs listed in September. All on their individual websites.

Ok I stand corrected. Still disagree with the scheduling against a local track so close when Friday is open.

Friday, August 31st USAC sprint cars and midgets are scheduled to be at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL.
