Chain slack

How much slack should a chain have ? I have a 160 link chain and to me it seems too tight and that's with no tensioner on it

1.0-2.0 inches of deflection.. Check with no weight in the car and with the left side loaded... (put your foot on the nerf bar)

Ok thanks
What if there is still no deflection? Do I get a longer chain?

Re: Chain slack

you would either move the rear end foreward by adjusting your radius rods(on both sides) or if your axle is already pulled forward alot you have to buy more chain

Yeah my axel is already pulled forward I was afraid that I would have to buy new chain

What gears are on the car, most erc cars show 82 links , so 164 total...

I think it's 13 front 53 rear
Going to try to run non wing at montpiler so that will probably change

If your axel is full forward, most likely your Jacobs ladder is in a bind...

Who makes good chain to use on 1000ccmaster minis. I used heavy duty drag racing chain from ek. I think that is a little over kill looking for something lighter. What do you guys recomend.
