Kokomo hotels?

I saw the list on the website, but just wondering which ones are decent and close to the track? Any of them offering deals for the Smackdown? Paging Mayor Goodnight...:32:

Any idea as well when I should expect my tickets? :10:

thanks all

A Kokomo police officer is an IOWer. He once warned me about a certain motel there, but it certainly is not one of the ten listed on the Kokomo Speedway website.

I stayed at the Motel 8 from 2003 until the first part of 2011. I now stay at the Days Inn Motel and Suites and recommend it. Good restaurant attached. Mostly fish and Southern-style accompaniments. The sweet green tomato pickles are outstanding. Very friendly, helpful staff. You can walk to a couple of restaurants, including Cracker Barrel, and IHOP is close by. Right on Route 31, the main drag and road to take to the speedway.

If you want to know why I switched, PM me. Not really that bad, just don't want to post it.

Jamie, good to here from you and it will be good to see you. If any one is interested, all Kokomo motels will be offering deals to anyone that mentions Kokomo Speedway. Also look for many resteraunts and bars to offer special deals during those 3 days. PM me your phone number and a good time to reach you and I can give anyone more imformation. Thanks.

I always stay at the Hampton Inn. Its right on 31. A little pricey but always nice, and a nice breakfast buffet is included.

Yep, for at least 10 years now! I put up the tent in the backyard for the kids about once a summer just to remind me of how much I hate it! And that's not even when it's 100 degrees, raining or freezing and snowing! :15:

thanks for the replies everyone, I'll make some calls and check 'em out online..just need to work on a shuttle to get me and the APS back and forth from the track!! :31: :32:

Repo man came for the camper. He stopped making the payments once he realized it wasn't leaving the junkyard. :17: Cost too dam much to drag those things around anymore anyhow. We're booked @ the Days Inn, 55 bucks a night, can't beat that. :32:
