#4 car owned by Jim Sharp, I believe Rick Hendrix is behind the wheel. #2 car is Ricky Gray. #1 is Dennis Hart, #19 is Wiley Miller, #17 I believe was owned by Tony Porto and MIGHT be Kara Hendrick. I know she drove for him shortly after in a different paint job but same car I believe. #77 I have no idea......

These photos are fantastic. I grew up with all of these guys. Id love to see all of these photos. These are just a teaser!
The #77 is Jack Zimmerman I do believe. The #4 is a tough call. It might be Rick Hendrix but it also might be Rick Taylor. Im not certain. Aj is right, Wiley Miller in the#19, Dennis Hart in the #1, the #17 is also a tough call. This series was pre USAC I think. Ventura was called CMA and ASCOT was NMRA. This was quite a long timw ago and i just dont remember lol More pics! Thanks for sharing! Sean Buckley Jackslash Media Inc. www.jackslash.com Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: TQ's from Ascot Park 1988!
USAC took over the TQ's in 1987. The NMRA/CMA split was pre USAC. I had to look it up but it's Rick Taylor in the 4 and Kara in the 17. I'm probably in that first picture as an infant somewhere....

Thats Sean Birmingham in the light blue #32. He has my first TQ motor in his car. Next year, I bought Wiley Miller's Stewart and started racing myself. That Stewart TQ is STILL the best car I ever owned.
Man, those sunday afternoons with the TQ's and Midgets at Ascot were 'The Best of Times' |
