I-70 Traffic Delays??
Heading to Indy Saturday from Evansville for Marching Band Semi-state.......Wondering what kind of construction and or delays that I can expect on I-70 from Terre Haute to Indy around the midday time? Thanks in advance for any advise.......

I-70 is a mess from brazil to Plainfield. Add at least 1 hour eastbound and 2 coming back westbound. I would definitely choose alternate route.

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
there is one lane and slow in several places from Terre Haute to Plainfield on I-70 has been several bad accidents plus there will be heavy traffic from Terre Haute to Greencastle exits do to the Parke County covered bridge fest. I would go 41 to 40 in Terre Haute then east to Indy on 40 traffic will be a little slow in Brazil due to Bridge Fest Traffic going north on st rd 59 but much safer then I-70 once you are through Brazil will be smooth sailing as long as no accidents close I-70 and traffic gets pushed off onto 40

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
Try I69/sr57 to sr 67 to I465 or continue straight at 465 and Kentucky will take you into town if you're going to the Lucas Oil.

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
Definately take 67 just north of Vincennes to Indy. We have had a contractor coming from Indy to Terre Haute on I-70 then south on 41 all week. He said the interstate is messed up with a lot of delays.

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
So apparently all of 465 in Indy is a "Construction Zone" with a 45 mph speed limit.....cough cough... A big Thanks goes out to ISP otherwise known as "Indiana's Finest" for issuing me a ticket today as I am following traffic flow at 65 mph and singleing me out.........Sigh...........

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
yeah build nice big road like that and make it 45mph what a crock ...

Re: I-70 Traffic Delays??
I know it is past Saturday, but there is single lane road in Putnam county on I-70 and could delay peoples travel. I would advise anyone to take alternate routes in that area.
