Directions to haubstadt
Never been there, always wanted to go. Can anyone give me exactly where in Southern Indiana this track is, and the best way to get there from the Dayton Ohio area.
Fremont and the All-Stars are only two hours away, and I'm guessing Haubstadt is about 4 hours, and I know better than to ask everyone on this board where I should go, LOL. |

Tommy, I would go southwest on I71 to lousville Ky and pick up I64 west. Get off on rt 41 and the track is 2-3 mi north. Avoid Indy and Terre Haute at all costs.

But, that is really about the only feasible route, and the one I will be taking to go to Eldora. |
Totally agree about avoiding louisville. Traffic on the weekends will likely be bad

Re: Directions to haubstadt
With the UNMITIGATED traffic disaster of the I64 bridge shutdown, you are looking at a 6 hour minimum drive either way you go. That is if you go by the posted speed limit. ;)
The route through Louisville would normally be the quickest, if it weren't for the detour and traffic nightmare in Louisville. It is a total freakin' mess, worst detour I have ever seen. There is construction in both Indy and Terre Haute, but in my opinion, 70 west to 41 south would be by FAR the quickest and best route unless you plan on going through Louisville at 3am. You can do a Google map from Columbus to Haubstadt with either of the two routes, but don't forget to add a minimum of an hour getting through Louisville, IF YOU ARE LUCKY! |
Re: Directions to haubstadt
How about I-70 to 465 S then I-65 S to I-64 W This gets you past the bridge problem and out of the Indy mess.:6:

Re: Directions to haubstadt
It's already been said, but take it from somebody who crosses from Louisville to Indiana and back every day: don't do it. lol Louisville/southern Indiana interstates are sucking majorly right now (and apparently for months to come)
