NASCAR broadcasters planning to have announcers go silent from laps 9 to 11 of Saturday's Cup race at Richmond as tribute to 9/11 -- that's a pretty cool way to do it..

The coverage would be easier to tolerate if they went silent from the first lap to the last....:D

That would be nice, but lap 9 to 11 is a nice way to remember that terrible event. Of course they'll spend 3 hours of self promotion and reminding you of the moment of silence
