axle nuts
 
i was wondering if antone has ever come across a problem with the nuts fitting on one rear end but not the other we had to make a rear end change after the one in the car broke last weekend and we pick up a franklin which the one we took out was a franklin to the new one didnt have much wear on the threads as the broken one did but the axle nuts want thread all the way on the other rear end thats in the car any help thanks

Yes, we just recently bought a used rearend and the nuts off of our old rearend are too big. It has something to with whether it's a super lightweight rear or, a standard rear. We had to buy new nuts from Benic.

I think that it all has to do with the O.D. of the axle...there are a few different sizes, which could account for your problem.....
