Thank You From Everyone at the Brownstown Speedway
On behalf of everyone at Brownstown Speedway, I want to thank each and every one of you that came out and caught the show tonight. I hope everything was satisfactory and everyone enjoyed themselves this evening. We played a guessing game with the weather. The jail called and told us there was weather in the area, so we decided to go a little lighter on the water after the Sprint Heats than we wanted. We figured the turns were ok, and the moisture came back up and provided for a great set of heats and a great feature event. The wind killed us as far as the dust went. For that I apologize. Sitting in the grandstands during the feature, I saw how difficult it was to see some of the action.
Another big thank you goes out to the USAC crew for being very courteous and helpful. From Mr. Staab, to Bill, Sandy, Kleptomaniac, Tom Hansing, and the entire USAC crew. Couldnt work with a nicer bunch of people. Also want to thank the UMRA crew for their action as well. The use of the racecivers sped things up a little bit, which helped a bunch. Hopefully this points towards bigger and better things as far as Sprint Cars go at Brownstown, and next time we will try to keep Mother Nature out of the equation. On a closing note, the members that post here are second to none. They may blow you some steam on the boards, but when it comes time to talk and shoot the breeze, you wont find a better group of people. It was great meeting Danny Burton, Jerry Shaw, Andrew Quinn, Keith Wendel, Dwight Clock, David Lynch, Devin Fairchild, Jackslash, and a host of others. Sincerely, Chris Nunn Brownstown Speedway |

Re: Thank You From Everyone at the Brownstown Speedway
Although I didn't attend because my son was completely in favor of staying together with his friends and playing, instead of going to the races, I think your message thread and the descriptions of the jaw-dropping action that I heard first hand accounts of is one heck of a great statement as to the fan-first consideration that the Brownstown staff showed Saturday night.
My hats off to all involved. The accounts I heard (this is a direct quote) : "The greatest set of heat races I have ever seen anywhere!"--and this is coming from a stalwart CRA spectator, where they know great heats from just good. Next time I'll have to yank my son away from his friends, or just bring all of them to the track like my dad used to do. I'm truly glad that those that attended were treated to such action, and no premature cancellation robbed the faithful or the deserving track management. |

With the exception of the cold wind and the dust that kicked up, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and the staff and management of both Brownstown Speedway, as well as the United States Auto Club are to be commended on their efforts in putting on a good show for the fans. It was a quick, well run show with good racing action throughout the night. Now ossuks, here's a challenge for you. Let's see you write some positive things for a change. Re: Thank You From Everyone at the Brownstown Speedway
We made sure we found a track official and told them our thanks before we left the track saturday. I do not feel all the ******** was right on here saturday and don't feel that I have to pubically post my feelings to make it right. I only wish I could of met Chris while we where there to tell him personally but there will be another time as long as they keep having a sprint every now and then.

The three of us really enjoyed the races and will definitely return when the sprints run again. Congratulations on a well run program.
