Non Wing 101

What are the basics of turning wrenches on these cars? Why types of cars are there? I hear stuff about 4 bar and 5 bar cars and coil-over cars. What are the common "go to" adjustments. How about the other end... What are some of the worst mistakes to make? All info is greatly appreciated.
