Maybe I missed this on another post. The USAC Midget and Silver Crown races scheduled at North Wilksboro on July 23rd has been changed from tentative to canceled on USAC's website.

I've read somewhere that the track has closed again.

The last thing that I read was the track ownership was trying to restructure. That was about a month ago and they said then that they had put racing on hold until this could be accomplished.

Yeah...seems like I read something somewhere that they were going to try to find investors so this race could go on. Seems like the article said that they had already invested a bunch of money into the place. Sounds like they just ran out of money...that's a shame.

Hopefully USAC will not waste the weekend and schedule some makeup races. One can only hope!!
