KISS Sprints L-Burg is official

Last nights rained shortened KISS race is official!! After talking with all the KISS Promotors the decision was made to call the race a completed show. Points will be awarded, and payout will be paid.
Checks will be mailed out this week.
Congrats to Daron Clayton on his feature win with the Hoffman #69.

Thanks, Dave

DC won a Sprint Week show driving for HAR several years ago, Dave. Gas City, I think.

Gas City in '07, if my memory is correct. It seems like Coons was in a Silver Crown car that night, though it could have been a midget; I just remember there was a schedule conflict.

Finally he's getting some breaks. Looks like he passed Stanbrough for the lead so he did earn it a bit. Congrats DC, a win is a win!

I'm really surprised that last night's KISS race was considered an official race.

The last 5-7 laps were "raced" if you want to call it that, in a pouring down rain, that's not racing, you are just trying to get someone hurt, or tear up equipment needlessly! That was not racing at all, and not fair to the drivers.

I heard several drivers complained about it last night and were told something like the flagman didn't see it (rain) you have to be kidding me.

Most races are not considered official until at least half of the race has been completed, not 12 of 30 laps.

I think the race shouldn't have been considered complete after only 12 laps. It should have been cancelled, or continued where it left off on another date.

Also, KISS rules say when you have 30 cars you only have 3 heat races. So, why did we have four last night? Maybe if we ran 3 heats, like the rule states, maybe we could have completed all 30 laps.

Thanks...
