Re: Neighbors Complain About Tri-City Dust, N
The track has been there for 50 years and people move in next door to it and complain about dust and noise :15:

Re: Neighbors Complain About Tri-City Dust, N
that would be my only question, how long has the track been there, how long have they lived there. my guess is not as long as the track has been there. get a grip ppl.:15:

Re: Neighbors Complain About Tri-City Dust, N
These dumb butts who move in next to a race track & complain about noise & dust but will go to a concert thats even louder.:14: Or a football game. I not sure but I believe Super Trapp Mufflers did a study on what was loudest & concerts came in 1st place, Football games in a dome, along w/ a few others. I went to a High School Robotics competition, you wanna talk about noisy. Another parent & I had to yell to talk above that racket. We have a right to farm how a right to race bill?:6:

People need to get over themselves. I can hear Kokomo Speedway from my house and I LOVE IT!

We can joke all we want, but it only takes a few people to wreck everything. I hope the Gundakers can calm down the neighbors.I just hope that they don't keep raising the bar , and in the end the Gundakers lose. It only takes ONE person with a cob in their butt to ruin it for everyone.

This is the one concern that helped get State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City shut down. Neighbors from the surrounding area said that noise was to much for them to have a nice enjoyable Friday night.

Re: Neighbors Complain About Tri-City Dust, N
The track really needs to have a good strategy about its future. It is not one or two neighbors that are the issue. There is an entire town that has grown up around the race track. I visited for the first time for the Gold Crown and was surprised on how close the track was to the town. I can defintely see the track being built first, but the entire town is right next door. On the last night of the Gold Crown, I decided to leave after the midget feature and not watch the winged sprint cars. They were having a bad night and the feature went on for a while. I could hear the cars at the convience station when I got a midnight snack, and I could hear them when I got to my motel.
The track needs an agressive muffler policy and a hard curfew. Otherwise it will never survive. |
Re: Neighbors Complain About Tri-City Dust, N
After camping at the track, for the GOLD CROWN, most of the dust comes from the road into the pits and parking lot not the racetrack! Water the road a couple of times earlier in the day. The new track is great and the GOLD CROWN is the best, PLEASE don't loose another track!!! Sometimes the little things help you the most.
