DD Takes Patient Route to Win 3 Thousand Dollar Pay Day

Dave Darland took the patient route to winning to the Indiana Open Wheel/ Racin with DO Fest at Lincoln Park Speedway for the season opener. The night started out slow with a heavy race track and 3 car flip on the front stretch of the first heat. After a delay in the sprint car races to run the modifiers they sent the first heat back out. Dave was in the 4th heat and the track had widened out some. Dave started on the pole in the Jeff Walker Racing/ Jeff's Jam It In Storage #11 Maxim and would lead all 8 laps to take the win and start 4th in the feature. Ethan Barrow and Seth Parker started on the front row and took the early lead, but Parker was able to make a pass exiting turn 2 on lap 4 and Darland followed. Dave sat in second for the remainder of the race following Parker through the lap cars. When the white flag fell it looked as though Parker had it wrapped up, but Dave stayed patient and exiting turn 4 for the checkered flag Dave was able to sneak past and claim the victory over Seth Parker and Billy Puterbaugh Jr.
