Eldora Tickets

I ordered my tickets for the April 8 &9 USAC show.

I can not believe they charged me a $.50 fee per ticket to buy their tickets. Now if the tickets were mailed to my house, I could see the charge, but to pick them at will call is a bit much.

What I really think is stupid,is that they could have built the $.50 charge into the price of the ticket and nobody would be the wiser.

What are these guys thinking?

Why don't you just buy them at the gate? I haven't been to this show in a few years, but I remember it being rather cold and damp with hardly any crowd.

if you paid by credit card then it costs them to take your money as the credit card companies charge fees to the sellers, also they have to either rent or buy the credit card machines, I know when my business use to take credit cards the fees really hurt the bottom line. Alot of places pass all or some of this cost onto the buyer.....

I agree with you. It seems like all theaters, nightclubs, stadiums etc. are tacking on a $3-$5 "convenience charge" when you buy tickets over the phone or via the web. It seems silly to me to tack $5 on a ticket that already costs over $100.

Most credit card companies charge a percentage. Right now the going rate is 4-6% MINIMUM. The convenience of using the card is being passed on to you. Many businesses today can't continue to absorb this cost and remain open. I would say you need to get used to it because it is here to stay.

Same thing on most service companies that come to your house. You will see a fuel surcharge tacked onto the bill. With the price of fuel today, part of this also will passed onto the consumer. Again, you better get used to it.

In the case of Eldora, I would wait and buy the tickets at the gate. If you absolutely have to have an exact seat, then plan on paying the premium.

Why would you want to buy tix for that race ahead of time.
It's not as your not going to find a seat. It gets rained. cold or snowed out 50 % of the time anyway.:14:

You're seriously taking the time to complain about 50 cents? Just stop along the highway, along the way and collect whatever aluminum cans you see. That way you can offset this terrible injustice that you've been asked to endure.:5:
