A Third Manufacturer for Indy Car
From Twitterland.
"curtcavin #indycar is going to announce a third manufacturer for 2012 tomorrow at 5 p.m. Eastern. The news will come from the LA Auto Show." I'm not sure if this has anything to with the announcement. http://www.ibj.com/fiat-dealerships-.../article/23493 |
Re: A Third Manufacturer for Indy Car
Bernard said this week is pretty much the deadline to get in for '12. I have been hearing/reading there was one more coming in. Have heard Fiat/Dodge or Ford. Fiat makes sense based on Vukie's link.
It's not total innovation like the old days, but I think it's the best we can do in these times. Bernard has done a hell of a job trying to get more people involved. Shows you what a unified series AND someone that listens to people can do. It has actually been good that he had no racing background at all....that way he doesn't shut down when people give their ideas. The USAC door is starting to open again as well so I give him an A for his work. The flood gates are not going to open, but least there is now some link. |
