Salem August 14th
What drivers will pull double duty and drive in both series this night?? (both wing with the MustSeeRacing series and non-wing with USAC) Does anybody have any insight on this and car count.

No one will

I'm with Lloyd on this one. I would predict that no one will try to do double duty. JMO.

Troy Decaire had said last week he was going to run both ends of it. I don't know that the deal is done yet but if it is he'll be more than competitive.
Tracy Hines has been connected to the Pierce 26 wing car (that collected the win in May). Posted via Mobile Device |
jacob wilson and ryan litt more than likely will.

Re: Salem August 14th
I have gone to this show last 2 years. Car Counts have sucked. I will not be back. IMO they have ruined the place. It is a glorified sportsdrome. They could have used that money to repair the bumps and maybe increase the purse to encourage more usac drivers to show. I will stay with the dirt.

What were the car counts for the past couple of races there?

This is the first of a three part renovation at Salem, and while I can appreciate your sense of nostalgia and desire for it to remain the way it was, the car counts and support to race the big track every week has gone away. The smaller track opens up new opportunities for Salem to make revenue (or not close, if that sounds clearer). Taking a big chance on renovating a speedway right now isn't happening very many places.
