rumor has it terre haute silver crown is cancelled. anybody have any info?

Called into my work (media), officially unofficial until I can post it from a website.

Word I heard is that the track is soaked from all the rain the past few days. They can't even work on it. Plus with rain in the forecast, they are just going on the side of caution. Plan to make it up later.

It's disappointing, because I was really looking forward to this race. But, we had right around 3 inches of rain between yesterday and last night. And they're calling for possible heavy rain tonight. There are a lot of great things about the ol' Action Track, but being a track that can be brought back after a big rain is not one of them. She's very unforgiving, in that regard.

Hopefully they'll post a rescheduled date soon.

Dave Darland was here at the station today and was looking forward to running SC at THAt.

Sure hope they promote it is postponed better then they promoted the race.
