Hamilton back on top in the C.M.C.
 

Matt Hamilton took control of the point lead in the Cincinnati Modified Championship this weekend. After severe weather cancelled Moler on Friday night. Hamilton stormed to the feature win at Florence Speedway on Saturday to claim his fourth win of the season and his third at the Florence speedplant. Ray Branscum came home second and for the third week in a row Pete Holt would come home third.

While only Diamond Chassis have won at Florence, They had not yet seen victory lane at Lawrenceburg this year. J.D. Largent would change that as he would come out on top of Saturdays night feature. David Daugherty, who won last week, would come home second. Joey Kramer,the only two time feature winner at Lawrenceburg this year, would come home third.

Time to look ahead to this weekends action:

Friday night the C.M.C. will invade Moler Raceway Park. They have Bicycle races for the kids at intermission. Also will be interesting to see if anyone can catch Dave Mcwilliams who has been on a roll at Moler. Dave has won the last two features.

Then on Saturday night we will see if anyone can win at Florence other than Rick Corbin and Matt Hamilton. These two drivers have taken turns owning Florence Speedway this year. Corbin has Four wins at Florence and Hamilton has three this year. Hamilton your point leader also picked up a win at Moler earlier in the year. It is also student night at Florence Speedway as the Kings honor the end of the school year.

Also on Saturday Night the modifieds are in action at Lawrenceburg Speedway. The night is Servicemen and Servicewomen Night, all Police, Fire, EMT and Military personel will receive FREE general Admission with I.D. or in uniform. This should be a good one as teams start to gear up for the highest paying show in the C.M.C., The Mel Johnson classic on June 12th.
