Winged Purses (from Pitgate.com)
I found this kind of interesting. It is a breakdown of 410 winged sprint car pursues from across the country The first is the thread on Pitgate. The second is the spreadsheet.

Re: Winged Purses (from Pitgate.com)
that is interesting. not a "huge" difference between non-wing vs. winged local shows. if you factor in the HP you need, wear and tear on the motor, tires and driveline and fuel to run a wing, it might be close to even cost-wise to the racers.

Re: Winged Purses (from Pitgate.com)
Very interesting to look at 1st, 10th and last-place payouts, as well as total payout. I realize that the total will be affected by the size of the track/number of starters, but still some interesting comparisons between tracks starting the same number of cars. It would be interesting to see this for non-wing. I would assume all you racers already know this, but it would be interesting for fans.
