Tri-City Speedway USAC/POWRi event Postponed for Friday, April 30th
 

KEVIN DOTY CLASSIC AT PONTOON BEACH POSTPONED



Pontoon Beach, IL.......With the predicted severe weather forecast for

today and tonight the decision was made forcing the postponement of

the "Kevin Doty Classic" USAC Mopar National Midget race at Tri-City

Speedway. In the best interest of all concerned and to minimize travel

for fans and participants, the event has been postponed. Track and

sanctioning body officials are working to secure a rescheduled date for

the event, which is co-sanctioned by POWRi and also awards

USAC/SMRS Great Plains Midget Series points. The USAC/SMRS Great

Plains series continues Saturday night at 24 Raceway in Moberly, Mo.

USAC/SMRS MOBERLY MIDGET RACE POSTPONED

Predicted adverse weather this weekend has forced postponement of Saturday night's USAC/SMRS Great Plains Midget race at 24 Raceway in Moberly, Mo. The next series events are May 21-22 at Dodge City, KS. An announcement will be forthcoming regarding rescheduling of the Moberly race.

Just looked at the radar. This sounds like a wise decision. Thanks for making an early decision to save racers and fans the time and expense of traveling to an event which would probably get rained out. Keep up the good work.

Now on to Plan B, as in "Bloomington". I love being situated in an area where there is a viable option when Mother Nature rears her ugly head. And since Bloomington is hosting a USAC Sprint show next Friday, tonight it may just turn out to be the place to be.
