Anderson this Sunday
weighing my options between the 'burg saturday or anderson sunday. I'm sure the 'burg will be good, but does anyone know what kind of car counts the national pavement midgets are bringing out? Thanks!

Re: Anderson this Sunday
If they could only get 19 cars for a $10,000 to win race, what kind of car count do you think they will get for $2000 to win.The 6 or 8 teams that chase points will be there and who knows who else.
Plus they are running at least 2 or maybe 3 support classes. Me thinks you will see very little Midget racing. Three or four years ago they had great car count, but the Midgets are in the toilet right now. Originally this race was on my sched., but I am not going. Go to The 'Burg. |

Re: Anderson this Sunday
This early in the season and with nothing else running Sunday I would think they should have at least 25 midgets

Re: Anderson this Sunday
There were 24 at Hickory, and I think only one was local. I'd think there would be a few guys who didn't travel who will race at Anderson. I'll say 30.

Re: Anderson this Sunday
Last years April race was rained out, but in 2008 there were 43 midgets at the April 50 lapper.
http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...4420&FS=USAC-M I would guess there will be at least 30+ midgets on hand Sunday. BTW according to this USAC entry form http://www.usacracing.com/assets/fil...erson41110.pdf it pays $3,000 to win. There are 2 other classes running http://www.andersonspeedway.com/thisweek.htm A few facts! |

I'm surprised he didn't complain about the start time too. I'm sure he has somewhere to be Sunday evening...
