Why are British F1 cars green? (way OT)

On this grand day of ubiquitous green, I thought I'd mention this unusual fact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_racing_green Your attention is directed to the 2nd paragraph of the "Origins ..." section. :3:

Speaking of BRG, this new KV Lotus/Cosworth IndyCar is beautiful with a sort of throw back paint job with the Lotus colors of days of old. IMO, it's the best looking paint job on a Dallara yet.

Takuma Sato of former F1 fame will drive it apparently. He didn't make it past the first turn in last Sunday's race.:11;
