Well I am going to take all the credit for this happening on account of numerous emails to the Indycar series begging them to call breach of contract on Comcast........

Aw hell, I probably had nothing to do with it but I'm pretty psyched anyway... It's gonna be a great year!!!!

Does anyone know if Versus will be carrying any sprint/midget shows this season? Last year they carried a few ASCS winged shows and I THINK a USAC race or two (I may not be correct on the last part). Are they continuing with that coverage this year?

Last year the opening races were at the Devils Bowl and both nights were televised on VS tape delayed a week or so later. The first night was on one week and the second night was on the following week. I thnk this year the opening ACSC races were in Tucson last weekend, so they may be on VS this weekend.

I won't get to watch them if they are because I'll be at the Devils Bowl both nights, assuming is isn't too cold. Right now, prediction is low 40s and that's pretty cold for me these days.

According to SpeedTV.Com the NHL had more to do with Versus landing on Direct TV than The IRL. I think it says something about The IRL when the NHL has more pull.

The Stanley Cup play offs are coming in two weeks and I think that made for the change.

I already get Versus and I like Hockey and The IRL so this change is of no difference to me.

Thanks for the information. Too bad for the excessively long lag between event and broadcast. I thought there was some non-wing on Motorsports Hour but I guess I was wrong. Thanks again!
