Bonus Picture of the Day, 28 February 2010

Okay, it isn't Indiana and it has those big wing things on it, but I like this shot that I took yesterday at Battleground Speedway. Winged sprints haven't raced on this track in 10 years and the first ever ASCS Gulf South event at the facility is next Saturday. Six local teams took to the track for practice yesterday, and I kinda like this shot I got of Wes Miller (Dodie Miller's kid for those Silver Crown fans), on the gas entering turn three hard.

That is a cool picture, but of the six cars that were there - you got the one that was trying to find a cushion!??? The faster cars were hugging the bottom since the track didn't show up.

The faster cars weren't giving me the angle that I wanted. It WAS a pretty crappy track, but for a play day it was okay. I hope that Mike gets a good track for next week. Unfortunately I feel that he will be running too many support classes.

Now, I didn't have a stop watch, but here is one of the fast cars running in the low groove:

I don't think that this shot of Adam has the same impact.

I like this one for the panning, but the subject is a little softer than I like:

Yeah, I meant Aaron. That is what I get for mixing this with my day job.
