Bill Sears of Jamestown In Passed away yesterday. He is a former car owner of Winged Sprint Cars and Midgets. Indiana Andy Hillenburg(sp) is one of his former drivers. :11:

RIP Bill sorry to hear that. I meet Bill way back when he had a OZ pavement car & Joe Roush ran it a few times.

Bill put a sprint car together from junk that other guys had discarded, borrowed a motor, put Indiana Andy in it and won the main the first time out at Bloomington. One of Oz's favorite stories. Bill will be missed.

Thank you all for your kind words for Dad. It's sharing memories & stories that will keep him with all of us. There will be no veiwing/funeral. We are having a Memorial Service to honor Dad and rejoice in his life. The Memorial Service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 16 at Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main Street..., Jamestown, IN. He will be cremated with his burial taking place in the Spring. This was posted on Bill's Facebook page from his daughter...:35:
