Gotta love 4am phone calls where all you hear is "I won 10 grand!" haha. Jerry recieved 3 awards last night. He won the race, he got an award for the Samsung International World Midget series winner, and also the Top individual points scorer in the Midget Test Series. For that he won the Herman Tros Memorial Shield. It was a good night for the Americans with Swindell finishing in second and moving up to second in the Series Points. The Points standings ended up....
Samsung Midget World Series Points (Top 6) (1) 3USA Jerry Coons Jnr - 127 Points (2) 1USA Kevin Swindell - 83 points (3) 13 Brad Mosen - 78 points (4) 77 Shaun Insley - 70 points (5) 17K Michael Brunt - 69 points (6) 75 Bill Clarkson Jnr - 56 points Good trip for Jerry, but can't wait til he gets back on Friday, so we can finally celebrate CHRISTMAS! |

Guess it was a great night of racing. Kevin started 17th after having the motor not run because of the muffler, finished 2nd with no help from cautions! Only one on lap 44 or something like that. Can't wait to see the video. Jerry and Kevin return home Friday, I'm sure ready for the chili Bowl!
