Any Soldier
I meant to post this before the holidays but forgot to do so. There's a website/program that allows you to have addresses in which to send care packages to soldiers overseas. The website is http://www.anysoldier.com/
They tell you how to go about it the correct way and will provide you with an address or addresses of soldiers, those soldiers will then share the packages with others in their group. You will get a list of wants, there are also lists of what you are not allowed to send which depends on the region. Last year i sent 2 package, they go to an APO which is a US address, you just pay the standard postage to there and then the military sends it on to the zones. This year I've sent 4 and will send more as i go. Even tho the holidays are over, the troops are still there, serving so we can be free, let's not forget them the rest of the year! |

Re: Any Soldier
Our grandson LCPL Joshua Kaiser USMC is in Afghanistan and we send him boxes. If you go to the post office you can get the FPO-APO boxes at no charge. They go for a flat rate of $11.95 and there is no weight restriction.
Incidently today, Jan.3, is Josh's 21st birthday. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you. Vern & Diane Plotts |
