I think Darland ran second or third to the Demon in one a couple of years ago.

Yes, DD did run 2nd to Damion in 2008 driving for Steve Lewis. Is big Steve renting cars these days?! Tanner Mullens, P.J. Jones & Jason Meyers. I could understand putting Jason in a car but the other two have paid for rides at the Bowl the last 2 or 3 years...

I thought Lewis sold out of the midget racing, but at the same time started a race preparations business headed up by Kelly Drake.

iirc They also ran the bowl in 2008 with Toyota powered midgets, but hadn't ran up until then in recent years.

Re: Pj jones at chilibowl

Except Nine Racing competed in multiple events during the 2009 season with Dave Darland driving and Rusty Kunz wrenching. Obviously these are not just hired-driver deals for the Chili Bowl, but I think Lewis & Darland will have a slightly expanded schedule for 2010 as they plan to run basically every dirt midget race that pays well.
