Tulsa restaurants!

Sorry, I know we may have had this topic already awhile back but I can't seem to find the thread. I'm in need for some help of restaurant suggestions unique to the Tulsa area. The last several years we have been going to Tally's Good Food on Route 66 entirely too many times while in the area and I know there's got to be MANY more local hotspots. Now, I'm not talking your normal Villager or Applebee's restaraunt that I can get in any city, I'm looking for the 'I can't believe I've been coming here for years and haven't eaten here before' type of restaraunt! Suggestions needed soon! Thanks and see everyone there! :)

A friend of mine told me about a place called Harden's in Tulsa. He said it was a locally owned eatery. He said it was a good place. I am going to try it.

I just got on their website and printed some information - Harden's - The Hamburger Store - been around since 1939 - so it's gotta be good! Thanks! Here's the website... www.thehamburgerstore.com

Thanks for the advise and I hope we both like it!

Chimi's is really good if you like Mexican and margaritas. BurgerStreet has a unique olive burger that I find delicious. There used to be a place called Cajun Boiling Pot but I think it may be out of business. I like Sonic too because I can't normally get that in Central Indiana. And the QuikTrip has the most unbelievable selection of beverages I have ever seen. Also, the liquor stores stop selling early, from what I can remember. They have weirder laws than Indiana.

There's a place in Jenks called Sunlight Donuts that have great donuts and sausage/jalepeno roll things that I also bring back home to freeze.

Have fun. As of now, we're not able to free up our schedule enough to escape to Tulsa. Does anyone know if the Chili Bowl has VIP seating available like at the Rumble? Just in case I'm able to line things up.

Thanks.

I've done the hamburger store a few times. Always had good eats when I was there.

For the past several years I have stuck to Talley's though. :thumb: I just can't bring myself to not going there. That is unless you try the dried up food bar at the Indian Creek Casino down in Southern Hills by ORU!

There used to be a diner adjacent to Tulsa University, the place was chrome inside and out a classic. But TU bought them out and they went by the wayside last year. :crying:

Don't know if you're a breakfast eater, but Jimmy's Egg on E 31st is the place to go. Great service, fabulous food and relatively cheap prices, as breakfast goes.

Albert G's BBQ 2748 S. Harvard. In an old gas station across from the Village Inn.

The owners name is Chuck, tell him the "Maine man" sent you in.
