"Well let me clear up what i recall saying about the non wing scene. I stated that the available "show up and drive" rides out there have fallen off due to the lower purses compared to the wing arena which do pay better while having more available rides for this reason. A top 10 in the allstar series is $1000. Outlaws is $2000. Local non wing races pay $1,400 to win with quite a drop off there after. I have heard USAC bumped the payout but not sure on specifics spridge could fill in that part for me.

Tow money is another key issue which is the only thing that kept this team going this season. How many USAC/MSCS/Local series pay tow money? I was going to recieve the same tow money to go to Jacksonville, IL a LOCAL race that USAC gave me to tow to California in 2006. $100.

It takes $1000 per night to run a car on a usac level, slightly more with a wing. So if i can make the show at least i paid for the car to compete that night. with $400-$1000 to start and $250-$500 tow money it is completely possible to pay for its self. I cant have a self sufficient non wing car.

Talking to Brad and Steve Fox with Stanbrough driving i asked them how they came out the season they won 30 races and they said they lost $200 that year. I dont predict i would have won 30 races this season in a non-wing car.

I meant no disrespect to any sanction or fans, it just comes to the bottom dollar and i know what the bottom dollars are i have done both. I would have been ride hunting half way through the season funding my own non-wing car. Its a shame thats the way it is but it is the bottom line that matters to me in starting a team. "
