Stupid question of the day. 410 OR 360
 

Seems like everytime we find a good used non wing sprint it is a 360. Does everybody run 410 sprints or do the have a few 360s that run with the 410s. How would a 360 compete with a with 410. :27:

On most of the tracks, in Indiana, a 360 will be competitive, but I'm not sure that it's any/much less expensive, you've probably watched a lot of 360's run, and on the typical Indiana dirt surface, couldn't tell the difference. Most of the parts cost the same, just more cubes, there are exceptions of course, but I wouldn't poo poo a 360, at least for starters, some how ya gotta hook up all that extra Hp, and torque, and that can be a big issue. We've been running our ASCS-legal 360 since 2003, when we started going to Indiana to race. Once you take the wings off the field levels considerably between aluminum 410"s and steel 360"s. I'm not saying the field is entirely level, but it's close enough for us to think we can compete. There were a few races won in Danville this year with a steel block motor. I assume it was a 360, but I'm not sure.

We asked the same question you're asking back when we started racing in Indiana. We were encouraged by a lot of folks, so we took the chance and we're generally having a ball.
