Kokomo Speedway Aug. 30

Just got a call from Jill at the Kokomo Speedway and the track will host its weekly program of Omni-Source Sprint Cars, Rent-A-Center Street Stocks and U.M.P. Thunder Cars next Sunday, August 30, 2009. The date was originally scheduled as an off week set aside for a a rain make-up, however the staff has opted to use the date to run its weekly program and give the fans another week of racing at the track. The regularly scheduled program for September 6, 2009 will still be on the schedule as planned.

The only difference on August 30 from all the other events is the starting time. With school back in session, the staff will bump everything up an hour earlier than usual to allow fans with children time to get home at a decent hour. The pit gates will open up at 2:30 and the main grandstand at 3 p.m. The first race should push off around 5:15-5:30. Those with any questions can e-mail me at brettbowman29@aol.com or check the track website at www.kokomospeedway.net next week after the site has been updated with this information.

Hope to see you all at the track. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Brett

Bump, we were at the track watching the Quarters run and they ask what we thought about racing next Sunday night, what do you think Josh said? See you next Sunday night.

No problem. Most of the drivers I've talked to said they will be there since there is no Gas City running because of the Motorcycle race. Hopefully we can get a roll call going of drivers who plan on coming up. The early starting time is great since that means we will (should) be home at a decent hour. The staff runs the program through so quickly anyway, so time shouldn't be an issue at all. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
