For those heading to Oswego Speedway, New York for the Silver Crown race on 6 August 2009 - a few photos.

I did give a thought to driving back to my home town of Oswego, New York for the Silver Crown race on 6 August 2009. Hard to pass up the Silver Crown races wherever they are.

Instead, I will be attending the 2 day WoO sprint car races at I-55 Speedway, Missouri on 7 and 8 August 2009.

I-55 Speedway, Missouri is a 20 minute drive from my house, vice the 15 hour drive to Oswego.

Sorry to hear you aren't coming home next week Rich. Two trips east in less than a month is probably a bit much to make. Thanks for posting the pictures! Hope you enjoy the WOO races.

Ah Yes, The Big O, what an awesome race place for sure. The Silver Crowners I am sure will put on an awesome show. Hope you have a great time, and keep me posted - thanks.

My next Silver Crown race for sure is - Springfield, Illinois for the Tony Bettenhausen 100 on 22 August 2009.

great photos of a great race track, thanks for sharing. i grew up at this track back in the 70's & 80's. would love to get back for the classic someday.
