I'm Home

What a great weekend it was for me. I got to see great racing and two new tracks for me (Bloomington and Lawrenceburg) and i loved them both. It's fun to see the little things that make each track different from one to the next, they all have their own little niches. It was also meeting some new IOWer's and some that i have met before. My weekend Wal Mart type greeter person was Jerry Shaw as he introduced me to the gang.

Besides Jerry i talked with Danny Burton, Hoover, Aero and his band of gypsy's, it'sanonwingthing, Shortbus, Fishburger, Koonzee and Mrs. Koonzee, and a few others that i'm at a loss for names right now. Feel free to give me a jab if i forgot to mention your name. Also a big thanks to Mud Packer for the spot on directions he gave me for the weekend. Screw looking at a map, i'd rather hear it from someone who has traveled those roads before.

I even ran into some friends of the Westfall's who live about 25 miles from my house! I chatted a minute with Matt at the BEER stand at Kokomo also. All in all it was a great weekend and you people in Indiana sure got it made. We decided to leave and head back home after the parking lot cleared out at Kokomo instead so i was home at 5am this morning. I'll be seeing you again in a month for Sprintweek but we can only make Gas City and Kokomo but i guess two races is better than nothing. Oh how i would love to have an Indiana address. :5:

Tim,

Glad to hear that your travels were safe and sound and that the directions turned out to be good. Always nice to meet new folks from the IOW board. Also glad that "Section A" didn't scare you off. A pretty good bunch even though some like Chuck run for Section H or somewhere down there. Your welcome to come back and join in any time you like. I would also recommend the housing market here in Redbud City as it seems like a ton of homes have the for sale sign in the yard. Definitely a buyers market. Just ask the little lady one question for me? What does Wisconsin have that Indiana doesn't? And don't tell me midgets, because we have Checker'd Past and Hoover.:5::14:

First off thanks again for the directions. I liked the view from section 8 or A or whatever, even though we sat on the top row it's the place to be. I asked the wife what Wisconsin has that Indiana doesn't and family is at the top of the list so i guess i can't argue with that. Before we had kids she would come with me to the races but now she's not a race fan anymore but i still get to make a couple trips a year. Funny you mention Checker'd Past and Hoover in the same sentence as midgets cause i am also included in that group. Height wise, Hoover and i are a dead heat and what's even funnier is that my wife is damn near a foot taller than me so she is use to midgets. :5:

As long as you send child support checks she might not mind if you moved south of the Cheddar Curtain!!

I know she would let me move as long as i sent the checks but with 4 kids between the ages of 5 and 12 i would have to win the lottery in order to afford a divorce. :10:
