Re: Bob "Caveman" Christie
Sad to hear, several years ago while roaming the garages at Indy I got a chance to meet him and he was nice enough to wait while I ran into the old photo shop and bought 3 pictures of him which he then signed for me. Truly a class act.

Re: Bob "Caveman" Christie
Man, I hate to read that. Several years ago at IFG, with nothing better to do while waiting
for the rain to stop, (it didn't) I got several autographs on my new Hulman 100 cap. Parnelli Jones - Lloyd Ruby - Rodger Ward - Johnny Boyd - Bob Christie Got to see them all race at IMS and at other tracks starting in 1961. Now they're all gone except for Parnelli. :( R.I.P. Bob Christie :22: |
Re: Bob "Caveman" Christie
Bob's nickname was the "Caveman." Wasn't that because he was a guide for tours of caves? Or something like that? Marv? Anyone?
