My thoughts on kokomo!

WOW. what a great night of racing. Not very much stuff got tore up so thats good.

-Billy did a great job to win the race.cottle gave him the nose a few times, just couldnt get around him.

-Colman Gulick.i dont know if anyone else noticed, but that kid had it hooked up on the high line. for being in the bmain.he still got 6th in the amain. i think if the was a yellow with 5 or 10 to go he could of won the race.he was fast.

- Chris Gurley. Flips on the second lap of the amain, car gets put on the wrecker and he runs to the pits with helment on and fixes the car and pushes back off.He got alot of my respect tonight.

-Shane Hmeil. Goes into turn 2 and flips the car and keeps it going, flagman throws the red and shane just drives around turns 3 and 4 and shuts the car off along with the others. He also restarted and raced a few laps before he pulled in.

I had a great time going to kokomo speedway tonight and i cant wait to go back.

These where just some of my thoughts i thought i would share.nothing else to do. :6:

Here are a few thoughts from a backstretch point of view:

-I don't know a whole lot about Sikeston, Missouri. There are only two things I know about Sikeston residents for sure:

1) They throw dinner rolls at people.
2) They like to charge full blast into the cushion and play chicken with the wall, at race tracks that have them.

-Along with Hunter, Windom, Stanbrough, Darland and especially Gulick in the last half of the race, were just screaming around the top of the track!!

-What I remember about Kokomo is still true. So much of the track is drivable that the sheer amount of action that is going on at any given time really messes with your brain's ability to process it.

- For most of 27 laps it looked like an easy win for Puterbaugh. But Cottle's constant chipping away and Stanbrough's dive at the the tape really made it interesting in the last two laps.

-I can't wait till Dean's or Sean's highlights come out so I can see if I actually saw, what my eyes think they saw, involving Shane Hmeil's flip-and-go.

-I think the pork Chop sandwich is bigger than it used to be.

Nice crowd! The racing was good, but last weeks show was even better! Kokomo never disappoints.

Just another run of the mill night of racing at Kokomo.:3: I am so glad that the O'Conner family bought this place and gave it a total overhaul.:6: I like how they keep the show moving and I am still able to get home at a decent hour. It takes me a couple of hours to digest what transpires throughout the evening. The Shane Hmiel flip and go has to be a first.:31: Chris Gurley's dash to the pits and restart also was pretty amazing.

I knew Mr. Shaw couldn't stay away forever. I hope we see you there for midget and sprint week also Jerry. The pork chop sandwiches have gotten bigger.:8:

We didn't get to Kokomo this past Sunday but were there the week before. Slipped a couple of waters in for my wife and myself, sat them down on the floorboards while we got situated, kicked them with my foot and knocked them off. They slid down the tin roof underneath and I had to go buy a couple at $2 each. :7: It doesn't pay to cheat the Kokomo concessioners. :5:

Since some of his stripes look like ocelot stripes, I changed it to Ozzy. Dead just didn't reflect his personality enough. Although I think the other cat wishes it did.
