I heard that you'd better have a valid CDL and a DOT number on your tow rig! What's the hold up!!:D

This is actually nothing new. It's just that Florida and other states have just recently starting enforcing it as a way to bring in more $$$.

That press release is from last year which you can tell by the date in the address at the top of the article. Here's another link with the date better shown:

It is also clear in the article that they are talking about last year's (2006) Florida 400. Of course, that race went on as scheduled and advertised. The Florida 400 is being run again this year:
