What to do in Indy July 2,3,4

I will be visiting in Indianapolis July 2,3 & 4th. Is there any local racing going on? I am a central PA. ARDC driver, so NON wing dirt is my first choice but anything race/hot rod related is good.
Thanks, Steve

If you like Winged action, and want to see a race at Terre Haute followed by Fire works on the 4th.

I'm guessing he's saying local to Indy. Tri-state is about 150+ miles from Indy, no?

First time I went to Indy, it was probably 2 weeks after the 500 in 2001. Wasn't into racing too much, and I was there working the afternoon shift right outside the Speedrome. Never made it there, but I did end up at Steve Smith racing engines, where they gave me a tour, and I got to see my first Pro Stock motor on a dyno. Also went to the Speedway and went to the museum. I think most of the Hoosiers here forget how lucky they are to have such history right in there backyards.

Most importantly it was the beginning of my rekindled love of motorsports. A few short years and 150+ races later and now I try to spend almost 2 days a week at racetracks for 5-6 months a year. I have been back to/through Indy a few times since.

Through a shortage at work directly related to the auto industry, I have some time off next week. I am going to try and hit Terre Haute and the Fairgrounds and the Speedway in between. Can't stay for the 500 or the Little 500 as I have to come back home to shoot on Saturday some winged 360's.

Thursday night July 2, USAC sprints making up the Rich Vogler Classic at Winchester Speedway. Non wings and blinding fast.

Twin Cities, Gas City, and Paragon which is real close, all have sprints (meaning no wings). I hate the term nonwing, it is a sprintcar and we have winged sprintcars:6:
