SPRING CLASH UPCOMING AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY

(BLOOMINGTON, IN- APRIL 21, 2008)- This coming Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway will be the second running of the "Spring Clash", which pays $3,000 to win and $300 to start for the Safety-Kleen Sprint Car division. As an added incentive for the racers, lap money will also be paid to the driver that leads a lap in the feature event. In the inaugural running of the "Spring Clash", Bedford, IN driver Brady Short outran Springville, Indiana's Jeff Bland, Jr. to pick up the victory, plus a good sum of the lap prize money. With USAC taking the weekend off, you might expect some of their drivers to get some laps in before they visit on Friday night, May 8th.



Joining the Safety-Kleen Sprint Cars will be the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds running for $700 to win, and the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stocks running for $600 to win with their proper decals. Previous action on April 17th, saw Brady Short pick up the Safety-Kleen Sprint Car victory from his 10th starting position, Bloomington's John DeMoss took home the victory in the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds, and Troy Clark of North Vernon, IN took the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock victory.



Pit gates open at 4:30 PM, grandstand gates open at 5:30 PM, hot laps start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. Kids 12 & Under FREE general admission with paying adult, general admission $15 and pit admission $30. Coolers permitted no glass allowed. Free overnight camping no hookups.
