Now we talkin'!
THANKS Dirtfan, that's the info I was lookin' for! I love to hear experienced racers changing classes. Makes things interesting, like Bland Jr and Jesse Cramer did. Might be a good season after all! |
Re: Rookies for 2009
A couple of more Sprint Car rookies.......
Michael Fischesser of Saylor Park, Ohio is a rookie in Sprints in '09. His dad bought this former Rob Winks car, a motor from Larry Beck https://www.indianaopenwheel.com/pic...2&pictureid=50 , and they plan to start at Paragon for some seat time, and eventually race at Lawrenceburg and elsewhere. The car has been re-named and re-numbered (#4), with paint scheme remaining the same. They were scheduled to get going at the Gas City practice session, with Greg Staab lending a helping hand, only to get rained out. He has raced Karts in previous years. Also, heard (from Smith19) that former NAMARS midget driver, current Legends car driver, Toby Alfrey, has bought a Sprint car. His web site (http://www.tobyalfrey.com/homepage.php) lists an '09 schedule of Lawrenceburg Speedway (sprints?) & Kil Kare (legends?). |
